  • A This could just be simply that you have inadvertently caught the switch which turns off the Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS). This among other things allows the lights to traverse as you turn the steering wheel and possibly even turn the lights on or off automatically. The switch is located just under the dash on the drivers side. If you have any difficulty finding it just call in...Mike

  • AThe most common fault with this one is that the switch looses sync with the bsi (‘Built-in Systems interface). It is a central controller or interconnection unit that allows the sharing and management of information across the ECU’s fitted to a vehicle. It will need resetting first to see if that will cure the fault... Mike

Called the BiTurbo, the engine is a 2-litre fitted with sequential turbochargers designed to increase response across the rev range. It will go from zero to 62mph in 8.2 seconds (front-wheel drive hatchback).
Thanks to increased efficiency, it’s also more economical, managing an average of 57.6mpg, compared with 55.4mpg for the 2-litre CDTi with 158bhp. Emissions are as low as 129g/km of CO2 in the manual front-wheel drive hatchback.
It will be available fitted in the hatchback and Sports Tourer estate in SRi, SRi Vx-line and Elite trims, priced from £27,120. Four-wheel drive is available in SRi and SRi Vx-line trim.
Vauxhall’s FlexRide adaptive damping suspension is standard (normally a £790 option), featuring Tour and Sport buttons, allowing the driver to tune throttle, steering and damper settings separately.
Four-wheel drive versions get a Torque Transfer Device (TTD) and rear axle electronically controlled Limited Slip Differential, allowing power to be juggled to the wheels with most traction.
